When playing PS2 games take more breaks, it extend the life of a PS3 to run the games off the HDD over the BR drive. every so often remove the HDD and whatever disc is inside and vacuum the ports for a few minutes. For one, elevate the unit so that all ventilation ports have at least 10cm of open space. If you really want a BC PS3, and I don't blame you, you need to look up some maintenance videos. It's the natural progression, but unfortunately it meant they had the longevity of a computer and not the one of a DVD player. They hold data, manage it, you can navigate folders. With the PS3 and on the units are more computer like. They played the games almost entirely off the disc. The systems before it had processing units and OS' but it was all mostly players. The systems are all old by now and it was the first, as far as I know, computer like council.
